The 1st Call for Theme Proposals of the Programme to Support Non State Actors (PAANE) addressed to Non State Actors (NSAs) in Guinea-Bissau is now open.

The PAANE – “NôPintcha Pa Dizinvolvimentu” – is a financial instrument of the European Commission that allows and encourages more active participation of NSAs in the development process in Guinea-Bissau, building on a logic of improving their capacity and close monitoring.

The PAANE have two main axes. The first, “Institutional Support” will be implemented through the training of of the NSAs? staff and the second, “NSAs Financing Initiatives “, will include specific training on proposal writing, support in putting together applications, and monitoring NSAs in the implementation of projects that are funded. Thus, this 1st call for thematic proposals from PAANE directed to Guinean NSAs.

This present framework for call for proposals under PAANE is a result of hearings held with the NSAs of Guinea-Bissau, between June and October 2011, during which opinions were collected from about 150 organisations.

More information about the funding line here.

The Nô Pintcha Pa Dizinvolvimentu has also already opened registration for the NSAs to participate in the Programme for Advanced Training, an activity of the 1st axis. The first two training modules are already scheduled: “Applications for EU grants ” (dated 27th February to 2nd March) and “Project Cycle Management” (two classes, 5-16 March).

PAANE ? ?Nô Pintcha Pa Dizinvolvimentu? is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities and contracted to IMVF/ CESO CI as a consortium.
