The Instituto Marquês de Valle Flôr (IMVF) was honored in a recognition ceremony for the work it has carried out for the development of São Tomé and Principe. The ceremony took place on March 14th at the international house of São Tomé e Príncipe headquarters and was attended by the ambassador Luís Viegas.

During the ceremony a Merit Diploma was handed by South Africa ambassadress in Portugal Keitumetse Matthews to IMVF’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Paulo Telles de Freitas in recognition of the 27 years of service in São Tomé e Príncipe in the sectors of Health, Education, Food Security, Water, and Sanitation through projects implemented in the archipelago: Health for all, School plus, Food Security Decentralized and Actors Decentralized.

The ceremony was also attended by the ambassador of São Tomé e Príncipe in Portugal Luís Viegas and the former ambassadress Maria Amorim.

Among honored and guests, the international house of São Tomé e Príncipe headquarters welcomed around fifty people who attended the award ceremony dedicated to those who stood out in solidarity and promotion activities developed in São Tomé e Príncipe.

The award ceremony was attended by Dulce Gomes, Franciscan sisters, the teacher Rosa Botica, Galician ONG Cooperación BierzoSur – IMVF partner in several medical areas in regard to the project Heath for all – Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, and also Carlos Dias, Nuno Rodrigues, João Carlos Silva, Olinda Beja, Miguel Sousa Tavares e Ângelo Torres.
