“Discover ways: from Mouraria to school. From school to Mouraria” is the training module taking place in “Renovar a Mouraria” association over the month of March and through which the participant’s guides are trained in Intercultural Education and Education for Global Citizenship.
This is the first training module directed to migrants guides related to Education for Global Citizenship. At the end of the course it is intended that the guides show Lisbon to the school community (students and teachers), discovering and exploring what characterizes Lisbon oldest neighborhoods. Mouraria it’s a neighborhood full of flavors from all around the world, with people of all ages, nationalities and religions.
The “Urban Intercultural routes” Project is aimed to improve mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue, combining the promotion of Lisbon neighborhoods with the integration of migrants of Portuguese-speaking countries and European host societies by promoting urban intercultural routes allowing to explore the cultural diversity.
This project has been promoted since April 2013, in Portugal, by IMVF and “Renovar a Mouraria” association, and it is funded by European Union, integrating nine European cities through local partners in Lisbon, Naples, Rome, Milan, Florence, Genoa, Paris, Marseille and Valencia.
