The Social Economy and Solidarity Economy project’s team will participate in the 11th edition of MANIFesta – Assembly, Fair and local development and social and solidarity economy celebration, that will take place between 9th and 12th November 2016, in Corpus Christi Convent, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
On 9th November, around 14:30, the project’s team will organise a dialogue oriented workshop: “What will be my role in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation?”, in which participants will have the possibility to deepen the connection between SDGs and Social Economy and Solidarity Economy, using participatory methodologies, that strengthen dialogue between global and local dimensions with concrete examples.
A festival festival will also take place focusing on Social and Solidarity Economy. The films to be exhibited are: “Extraordinary People” (Turkey) and “Palmas” (Brazil). The 1st will be exhibited on the 9th November (21:00h) and the 2nd on the 10th of November (21:00h). Both sessions will take place in the artistic and cultural cooperative 3+ arte. Free entrance. Having 2016 motto as “Development within Diversity”, MANIFesta 2016 aims to contribute to the reflection, objectives convergence and people and civil society intervention in changing times, getting together for joint actions towards local development.
MANIFesta 2016 organisation is lead by the consortium Animar – Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento Local, Cooperativa do Povo Portuense, and Câmara de Vila Nova de Gaia, having the financing of the Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional (IEFP).
