On February 27th, between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., at Mouraria Innovation Centre (Rua dos Lagares 23, 1100-022 Lisbon), a Storytelling Workshop will take place within the SDG Generation project.
Storytelling is the art of telling stories through different narrative resources, favoring the encounter with the other, communication and empathy.
This workshop is aimed at all those who want to communicate for development in an innovative, creative and assertive way and aims to develop creative thinking and action, practice storytelling skills and promote creative communication of SGDs.
The topics to be addressed will be:
- Community and non-formal education practices
- Verbal and non-verbal communication
- Thinking creativity hands on
- What’s storytelling? Elements of a good storytelling and case studies
- The Hero’s Journey
- Storytelling and emotional intelligence
- Strategies and dynamics of storytelling at the service of the Sustainable Development Objectives (SGDs)
The Workshop is free, but subject to registration until February 21st HERE.

About the trainer:
Carla Costa is graduated in communication, anthropology and coaching with international certification. She has a degree in Emotional Intelligence from Instituto Dorea, Cyprus, and online training in Ignite Your Everyday Creativity from The State University of New York and Healing With the Arts from the University of Florida, among others.
His career also includes training by the Portuguese Art Therapy Society, a course in Drama and Movement Therapy (Sesame method) and several training courses in movement, dance, body psychotherapy, ritual and storytelling.
She is the artistic project manager at the Associação Renovar a Mouraria and she organizes creativity and personal development workshops for audiences from 8 to 80, with experience in a school context.
