Health For All – Transition Phase
São Tomé and Príncipe
OBJECTIVES:
Overall: Contribute to maintaining universal access of the population of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe to quality healthcare.
Specific: Ensure the permanence of support in the provision of preventive, primary and specialised healthcare in the country during a transitional phase of 12 months.
BENEFICIARIES:
Direct: Approximately 590 healthcare professionals of the National Health System (60 physicians, 348 nurses,50 laboratory technicians, 53 pharmacy technicians; 42 experts in microscopy, 11 statisticians, 6 nutrition technicians and 23 other health practitioners benefiting from training in the country and via telemedicine;
Indirect: The entire population of São Tomé and Príncipe (around 187.500 residents) as users of the National Health System; and the Ministry of Health through the support to healthcare provision services in the country
