From February 12 to March 6, 2020, the School of Arts and Crafts of Quelelé, Bissau, hosted the 1st Professional Course in Poultry and Veterinary Sciences promoted by the Ianda Guinea! Galinhas, which covered 21 poultry producers and entrepreneurs in Guinea Bissau.
This professional training aimed to enable participants to deepen their knowledge in the poultry and animal health area, enabling them to contribute to the development of this sector in Guinea-Bissau, through the development of their own chicken breeding initiatives and services they may provide to third parties.
The training counted with the collaboration of teachers from the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and technicians from the Directorate General of Livestock of Guinea Bissau.
This is an activity promoted by the Ianda Guinea Action! Chickens, implemented by IMVF, the Italian NGO MANI TESE, the Guinean NGO Asas de Socorro and the University of Turin, with the support of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, within the framework of the European Union programme Ianda Guinea!
